Rokko

Rokko, born in 1987 to a family of Swedish circus nomads, is an enigmatic DJ and music producer known for his style that fuses Dark Disco, Dark Wave, New Wave and Italo Disco. Growing up in a caravan in the alleys of Palermo, where his family settled when he was only 2 years old, Rokko was immersed from an early age in a kaleidoscope of cultures, stories and sounds that would define his artistic path.

As a teenager, he showed an insatiable curiosity for obscure electronic sounds, spending hours with old synthesisers and drum machines found in city markets. His productions, characterised by pulsating basses, hypnotic rhythms and melodies imbued with melancholy, evoke an imagery at once nostalgic and futuristic.

He began performing in Palermo’s underground clubs, soon becoming a reference point in the city’s alternative music scene. His gigs, which often combine music and visual performances inspired by his circus past, attract a diverse and devoted audience.Despite his growing fame, Rokko remains deeply attached to his nomadic origins and the chaotic energy of Palermo, which continues to inspire his music and artistic vision.

He is now founder and Dj – Resident of the Sono Plastica Project and Project Sensazione Stupenda.
